The Simple Woman's Daybook - June 24th, 2010

This is the beginning of this thing that I found on a bunch of the P31 ladies' blogs - Glynnis & Marybeth in particular. Thought it was a pretty good way to bookmark each day.

Outside my window...the sun is shining on the condo building, and all the buildings, but it's also shining in, which makes me smile :)

I am thinking...about where this headache could have come from, about Sam getting a job, about Sam in general, about how I like sunset & nature scenes more than any other kind

I am thankful for...my job. Or at least I'm working on it.

I am praying for...my friend Chantal, who prays for me. For Sam to get a job. To figure out how to spend more time with God when at home. Or actually spend time with Him, period.

I am wearing...typical work attire - black pants (comfy tho!), black tee layered with a light green lacy tank underneath. Also wearing my suede stilettos! Yay!

I am creating...my own headache by staring at this computer screen??

I am going...to smooch my husband when I get home! So excited to see him!

I am reading..."Return" by Karen Kingsbury

I am hoping...to get home & get lots done!

I am hearing...Pandora tuned to "Sara Evans radio"...currently playing Watching You by Rodney Atkins! Love this song!

I am remembering...times I've sung this song.

From the learning rooms...you mean school? I am SO done with that chapter in my life!!

From the kitchen...I'm still learning how to get dinner done quickly & completely...however, LOVING trying new recipes as always. Working on perfecting a few...there's this lasagna recipe - so good, but needs a few tweaks...tried again last night...will have to try again to perfect! :)

Around the house...Beth has been staying with us off & on for awhile now - loving having a guest!! Got a few big house projects to work on though...mainly the filing in the living room & finishing wedding thank yous...I know...way late...

On my mind...as always, many things - a few frustrations at work, but they wane as I write about other things :) mostly my headache & getting home at the moment

Noticing that...when I write about happy things, I get happier, feel lighter, even my headache starts to wane some :) realizing that everyone is in progress - no one has made it (even tho some ppl portray themselves that way)... and that thought comforts me

One of my favorite things...being held in my hubby's strong arms. my palm phone.

Here is a picture I am sharing: ok, actually, I'm not...this is a sign of my commitment to take more pictures!!
